Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini, has revealed that plans are underway to organize a National Inter-Schools Championships in Ghana, following the successful Regional Super Zonals in the Central and Ashanti Regions.
The recently concluded Inter-Schools event, held in Cape Coast and Kumasi respectively, saw standout performances from top schools such as Mfantsipim School and Prempeh College, whose athletes dominated the track and field events.
One of the most talked-about talents was Joseph Andoh Kwofie [Mfantsipim], who has been tipped as a potential future star for Ghana athletics.
The level of competition and talent on display has sparked widespread calls for more national-level events in the country to further develop young athletes.
