Opoku Ware School, St Louis SHS wins 2025 Ashanti schools Zone Six athletics competition

The 2025 Ashanti Region Schools and Colleges Sports Federation athletics Zone Six competition ended successfully on Tuesday at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

Opoku Ware School and St Louis SHS, came tops in the boys and girls category respectively with some amazing displays by their athletes.

Opoku Ware School, completely dominated the competition to become Zone Six Boys champions by a mile.

Opoku Ware School’s dominance reflected in their 235 points build up to emerge winners.

Aduman SHS finished second with 84 points, ahead of Okomfo Anokye SHS who had 67 points with Barekese SHS in fourth position with 60 points.

Wesley High SHS, Konongo, placed fifth in the boys division with 56 points.

Opoku Ware School will be joined in the. super zonals competition by

Aduman SHS, Komfo Anokye SHS, Barekese SHS and Wesley High SHS, Konongo.

In the girls category, st Louis SHS became Zone Six champions 250 points to successfully defend the title they won last year.

They will be joined in the super-zonals by Aduman SHS and St Monica’s SHS who finished second and third respectively with 118 and 71 points.

Also through to the super zonals, are Adanwomase SHS and

Barekese SHS after they placed fourth and fifth with 45 and 42 points respectively.
