Gloria Amoh of Ghana National Secondary School (GHANASS), topped all to win the best female athlete at the just ended 2025 Eastern Region Second Cycle Schools Sports Association Games.
This Inter-Zonal competition for schools in the Koforidua Zone, took place at the Koforidua Sports Resource Center last week.
In winning the award, Ms Amoh, won eight individual gold medals, and was duly crowned the best girls’ athlete.
She won gold in 100m with a time of 12.88s, the 200m with a time of 25.65s and the long jump with a leap of 5.62m which was a new girls record at the event.
The impressive athlete, also helped her school to win the 4x100m with a time of 52.18s and the 4x200m in a time of 1:51.22s.
She helped GHANASS win the overall girls category by winning the 1000m nedley with a time of 2:37.44s, the 4x400m race in a time of 4:17.23s, another record
and, yet another record in the triple jump event with a leap of 10.22m.
