Domeabra DA Basic School emerged overall winners of the 2025 Mampong Basic Schools athletics event that ended recently.
The collected maximum points in an impressive display of talent and teamwork that saw them outperform six other schools that competed.
Schools that took part in the competition, were from the Atwima Mponua District in the Ashanti Region.
The two-day athletics competition, was held at Mampong Abebrese in the Serso/Wansanbire Sports Zone.
With a total points tally of 186, Domeabra DA, finished third in the boys division, and first in the girls category to emerge overall winners.
They had 62 points in the boy’s category, behind Desereagya DA (81 points), and Wansanbire DA, (95 points), who placed second and first respectively.
However, in the girls category, Domeabra DA amassed 124 points to top the competition ahead of Yawkusikrom School (84 points) and Desereagya DA with 66 points.
The overall standings, saw Wansanbire DA in second position with 152 points, Desereagya DA, 147 points, Yawkusikrom School 130 points, Mampong Abebrese DA, 106 points, Sreso Ibadia Islamic, 46 points and Sreso DA Basic School, 27 points respectively on the table.
